PARKMAPLE SOLO'S KING OF RAINWALKER

We purchased our first shooting companion from Edward Martin at Sealpin kennels, Jedburgh. It seems like a lifetime ago since we went to collect him and he will be 14 next birthday.  He is a geriatric old man but still enjoys food, walks and company.  In his day he was a hard working man’s dog, thick cover was his forte and he excelled at any challenge we threw at him. Whilst out on a shoot we were offered a blank cheque for him, which speaks for itself. Naturally my first question to my husband was "you have brought the dog back ?"

KENZED ANNIE OF RAINWALKER

She is a seven year old bitch and has had three litters - always with style; a 10,11 and finally a 14, after which she was spayed - my god!  She is an absolute bulldozer in thick cover and nothing gets in her way, she is a pleasure to work.  She is hard-hunting and has an excellent nose, pheasants are her specialty.

COUNTRY DANCER OF RAINWALKER

She is the loveliest little dog, the first I had trained to the gun and in no time at all she showed to be a biddable companion.  She has a really kind nature and is always eager to work and please. She always seems to use her charm to get away with murder, even a seat on the beating truck whilst other dogs are at foot.  She is no longer a breeding bitch but remains an excellent shooting companion.

The daughter of Sky and Cole, my special little lady.  I love working this bitch; she is stylish yet steady, a dog to be proud of. She follows in her father's footsteps and is always a working dog you can rely on. She is five years old now and has just had her first litter.

RAINWALKER DICE

The daughter of Tarn and Cole she is a steady little worker always brushing your boots as she quarters to and fro.  A lovely nature, very like her mother and is in her element when flushing pheasants. She has had one litter of pups which were absolutely  huge. The pups have gone to both working and non-working homes and shown to be very versatile, good all-rounders.

RAINWALKER SCOUT

He is our stud dog, son of Sky and Storm, one of the pups from Sky's last litter of 14. He is a very soft mouthed boy and very pleasant natured.  During training it has only taken a little effort to correct any fault. He doesn't like being told-off twice!  He will work as long as you care to, always eager to please. His pick-up and presentation of retrieves is excellent.

RAINWALKER CHASER

This little bitch is Marsh's litter sister, she is so precise in her work you’d think she was royalty. She was quick to learn as a young pup after a few days on a pheasant shoot she came to life! Fortunately this proved my husband John wrong as he said I’d spoilt her, very entertaining!

BEVERLEY BRACKEN OF RAINWALKER

He is our five year old stud dog, we purchased him in 2001 from Gavin and Sonja Holt, he is out of their hard working bitch Ginty. He has always shown (and continues to show) the great traits of a good all round working Spaniel. Hunt, point and retrieve are excellent.  He is a handsome strong boy with a good head and chest. As a young pup he was a bit head strong, a male thing after all.  After a year he came into his own and showed us just how much work he has done.  He is excellent.

KENMILLIX MALO OF RAINWALKER

He is our new addition, we looked long and hard for a dog to be our stud in the future and finally came across Woody.  He is slightly related to our old dog Cole - still hedging my bets and sticking with what I know, but introducing a little bit of new bloodline.  He came to join us in November 2006, he was here one day and you’d think he’d never been anywhere else.   He comes to recall and sits at heel, quite pleasing for a young man.  His eagerness to collect things and present them to you is showing through.

RAINWALKER WISHFUL WONDER

This little bitch is from Tarn and Marsh's last litter and she is mostly white in colour with a few markings on her backend, just like her mum. She will be trained as a gundog in the future, watch this section for a update on her progress.
