We are not professional dog trainers but we can offer all we know. The Springer spaniels have been part of our lives for many years now, we have taken them shooting for around 12yrs. Learning as we went along and gaining a lot of experience from older wiser shooting colleagues. You are never too old to learn! A lot of the basics are common sense and apply to both breeds i.e. The German Shepherds.
We are always happy to help out with training to the gun or just general obedience. The main structure to training a dog is to have control and with that comes everything else. If you can call a dog to you, or stop it from running off you are half way there to a great future with your new beloved pet. Let this little cute bundle be THE BOSS and indeed they try, you are on your way to an unpleasant 10yrs[approx], or maybe even finding you are out of your depth and needing to re-home your dog. Lets hope, with the help from all here at Rainwalker dogs, when purchasing a puppy we are just a phone call away to ensure a happy future for both you and your new canine companion.
Try not to spoil your pup, but give it structure, discipline and love! In that order don’t fall into a situation you cannot correct e.g. Taking it up to bed on a night, then when it grows up, especially a pup who's father is Ice, our white German Shepherd, realising it weighs around 30kilos and you can't get in for him/her and trying to move it is IMPOSSIBLE!
